Nursing Career, a Healthcare Profession With Stability and Great Benefits

Lets talk about the nursing career for a minute. Considered one of the most respected and near stable careers, nursing can be an extremely fulfilling job in the healthcare industry. Many students do not want to go the full distance, coursework, and time it takes to become a medical board certified doctor, but they like working in healthcare so they choose nursing. Nursing also demands a well paid salary for those looking for financial stability. Recent studies of career salaries show that nursing ranked in the top ten of median salary offered. Many nurses pull in a six figure salary.
There's a constant need for medical professionals due to the existence of old diseases and the emergence of new diseases such as powerful and resistant strains of the flu and other dangerous bacteria. Doctors and hospitals are always busy, and nurses are required to be available at a moments notice to assist them. So nurses aren't going away anytime soon. Though its a promising field, nursing is a lot of work and dedication.
Besides the money and health benefits, many people go into nursing because they love to help people. Generally these are the same people who volunteer to help people facing sickness and disease in impoverished countries. Like doctors its been debated that nurses should be rewarded more financially and get recognition for the simple fact they save lives. There are few careers with that distinction.
Nursing is not just for women either. In previous decades, most nurses were women but colleges now have a significant male student body studying nurses, and hospitals and medical facilities also boast a large increase in male nurses. Where else can you save lives, bring in a great salary, and count on relative great job security? Nursing of course.
