The internet is one of the best and easiest resources for for teens to make extra money or a lot of money if used properly. Most teens especially those starting out of Generation Y also referred to as the internet generation are already experienced in navigating the web, using email, chatting and networking through social media and blogs. Working papers aren't even required anymore, all they need is a computer, web knowledge, and lots of time on their hands.

Here are five great ways for teens to make money online.

3. Create a Blog. Blogging is basically just writing about things that interest you. You can "blog" about your favorite hobby, how much you hate your English teacher, or your favorite Wii game. You don't have to be a great writer to write a good blog, you just need to write very often and stick to the subject with lots of related blog articles.  Time invested into a blog will generate a lot of visitors to your website because your blog wil be very popular with search engines like Google and Yahoo. You don't even need to know HTML to create a blog, the blog software pretty much do it for you. Some very popular and free blogging services include Blogger.com, wordpress.com, yahoo 360, livejournal.com, and ning.com. Many popular blogs have become the source for online jobs for teens, go ahead and give it a try.

4. Sell and Auction Items on Ebay. This wont produce consistent long-term income, but you can make a few hundred dollars selling old junk. Don't play your PS2 any more since you bought a xbox 360? Want to sell that old bike you don't touch any more? Listing items on eBay is very simple and fast, and watching your items get bid up and up is a very exciting thing.

2. Make your own website. Its very easy to create a website that can earn a lot of money as a teen. This will take a little more time than writing a blog, but a nicely built website thats updated regularly can generate up to millions of dollars over a few years. The main thing to remember is to build the website to be people friendly (as in easy to navigate) and is attractive to search engines, meaning you should create pages, categories, and keywords  that are related to the main focus of the website. Once you start attracting a huge amount of visitors, sell advertising space the same way you do for a blog.

1.  Get paid through an online service to fill out offers and promotions. Filling out surveys will make you about 10$/hour once you get the hang of it.
