These quizzes might even reveal that they might not have the type of personality to follow or  work for other people. This is not a bad thing, it could actually mean you as a teen is destined for greater things than settling for a salaried job simply for the benefits and supposed job security. In other words, you could have the ingredients to become successful young entrepreneurs.  When you are trying to figure out what you want to do with the rest of your life, pay close attention to what things you like to do and do not like to do. Many young people do whats called impulse career move they graduate from high school, college, get discharged from the armed forces and go directly into a career just for the sake of having a job. While its neccessary to have some form of method to cover basic living expenses, many people the mistake of going into a field they really don't like. The career becomes a means to an end, rather than something they truly enjoy. Its good if you can find your likes and dislikes early during career moves, as to not end up in dead end jobs. If you get stuck in the trend of job hopping or continually get fired from job positions, then working for others might not be the best choice for you.

Making a career choice that will impact you for the remainder of your adult life is a lot to handle and mentally challenging. It's not something to be rushed into. Surveys and statistics show that half of those with jobs end up not liking their careers at some point. And to top that, people usually change careers a few times during their lives. Young and Old change their minds about their Careers. Sometimes, this is the way people eventually find their Dream Jobs. They do it by testing the job waters. They work at one job for a short while then begin job-hopping to each successive job. They leave each job because they might not like the working environment, the benefits being offered, non-competitive salary, lack of room for growth, or lack of a challenge. Eventually, they gain good experience and revelations about their working habits, strengths and weaknesses, and are able to pursue their dream career.

Consider entrepreneurship. Many college students and other young people are not cut out to work for others. Instead they develop their hobbies or ideas into fledgling startup businesses. With the boom in online businesses and other opprtunities that the internet provide, many high school and college graduates are finding new ways to earn a substantial living from the comfort of their home. Many are making hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars, from internet businesses which was unheard of just 15 years ago.

  • What things captivate your attention?
  • Do you have special hobbies that could be applied to a job or developed into a business?
  • What do you like to think about?

So basicall, find out who you are, and what you like and don't like. Are you into Scientific Research, Art, Music, or Writing? I'll tend to agree here, this is a good way to help teenagers learn about living expenses and their careers. So many of them, and even college students have no clue as to what they want to do with their lives. You can't blame that for that thou. At lest this career quiz method help to give them the push they need to start thinking about it.
