Almost everyone uses coupons at some point or another for a purchase or high end business deal. They are useful for many money saving purposes, and one of thos e purposes include using them for college freshman orientation. How would you use them you might ask? Its quite simple and common. many college campuses use them as a way to advertise and promote their products and services to current and incoming freshman. When an incoming college freshman arrives on campus, they're usually accompanied with their parents or guardian. They are very curious to learn as much as possible about their students new home away from home.  Here are some ways that colleges make the learning experience more accomodating with freshman orientation coupons, and how you can take advantage of them.

1stMethod: When a new college student arrives on campus, he receives an orientation packet from the college. Included in this packet should be coupons for discounts on services and products including sports tickets, meal plans, logo tee shirts and apparel, book and supply purchases, and introductory free meals in the dorm.

2nd Method: If you are an on campus business, you should advertise in the orientation packet provided by the school and offer discounts on your services and products.

3rd Method: You should participate in the initial college event where new students get to meet all the clubs, organizations, and fraternities and sororities on campus. This event is held at the beginning of the semester. It may be either outdoors or indoors, and is a specific program designed to introduce all the extra curricular activities to the new students. Its a fun time for the entire campus, and you should have a booth or table and pass out introductory coupon offers about your business.

4th Method: If you have connections with the university or college and can obtain a mailing list, you can mail coupon offers to incoming freshman in advance of their orientation days, so they will add your business name to their agenda of new things to explore on campus.

5thMethod: You should have welcoming signs in the window of your business, advertising your offers to new students. When they drive around campus and the town, as almost everyone does to explore the new area, a well designed sign with a great offer or two, can pay big dividends for your business.

Remember that you are building long term relationships with these new students. Many will potentially be repeat customers for four years or more. It is important to think long term and not try to make a short term quick buck. Incoming college freshman are looking for reliable sources that are easy to use and offer good deals and even a little fun. Try to be that type of resource at the beginning of a student's college career and carry this attitude on year after year, and you will be successful.
