Jay-Z throws huge 40th birthday at Campo de Casa resortJay-Z is definitely in an empire state of mind, because he threw a 40th birthday celebration for himself only fit for a king.

The party was studded with friends and stars such as Kanye West, P Diddy, Oprah, Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne, Kate Hudson, and Ne-Yo to name a few.

Jigga's birthday celebration was held at a mansion in the Casa de Campo resort in the Dominican Republic,  with celebrities flown in on two private jets arriving from New York.

Jay-Z gave the crowd what they wanted and  blessed the stage doing an impromptu rendition of his own song ‘Empire State Of Mind’.

There was a pool filled with  beautifully choreographed synchronised swimmers and lots of crowd pleasing fireworks. Jay-Z  set the theme of the party around Al Pacino's hit 80's classic ganster movie ‘Scarface.’

No guest were allowed in without repeating the specail password ‘Bye, Bye Blackbird,’ a phrase uttered by Johnny Depp in the movie ‘Public Enemies.’

Jay-Z, T.I. and Lil Wayne are my three favorite rappers in that order. Nobody else compare to these guys. Can't wait til Lil wayne and T.I. get outta jail though, their next albums should be sick as hell.

So Jigga hit 40? man time flies. I'm sure he enjoyed it. Has a successful record company and clothing line, and one of the hottest mamitas on the planet. He's come a long way from the Marcy projects in Brooklyn. much respect!
