Kris Allen Has Worst Debut Album Sales Of All American Idol Winners

Kris Allen may have ended “American Idol” on a high note as the 2009 winner, but his debut album sales are dismal at best. In fact he's now on record as having the least amount of albums sold in its first week of all Idol winners, according to Billboard.
The Season 8 winner's debut album sold a low and dismal 80,000 in its first week, the worst debut of any “Idol” winner, landing it at No. 11 on Billboard.
Another “Idol” winner, Carrie Underwood, outsold him with sales of her third album, “Play On.” Her album released on November 3 sold 86,000 copies, pushing it past the half-million mark overall.
And Kris’ runner-up, Adam Lambert, is set to make a much bigger debut in sales with his own album, “For Your Entertainment.” The album is reportedly on its way to a 225,000-selling release following the star’s controversial performance on last weekend’s “American Music Awards.”

'Course he win because it's "American" Idol, it had to be at lest partially political. (which we do not care a bit here abroad.) It is NOT HIS problem. Duh.
