Sesame Street Legend Dies

Sesame Street legend, Alaina Reed Hall-Amini died today after fighting breast cancer for two years. 
Most of us remember her from her roles on Sesame Street (1976-1988) and then on 227 in the lates 1980's.
On Sesame Street she played the role of Olivia Robinson, younger sister of Gordon the teacher.
Born as Bernice Ruth Reed in Springfield, Ohio, she began her career in Broadway and off-Broadway productions. She was among the original cast members in the 1974 off-Broadway production of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band on the Road. Hall appeared in productions of Hair, Chicago, and Eubie. Later in her career she would act in other notable Broadway plays.
She was married three times and is survived by two children.
